Cunningham Certified Pre-Owned Warranty
Every Cunningham Certified Pre-Owned golf cart comes with a 90-day limited warranty, beginning on the date of purchase.
Before any cart earns Certified status, our own technicians inspect and recondition it. This warranty backs the major parts that keep your cart running. During the coverage period, Cunningham will repair or replace any covered part that fails from a factory defect, at our option. Any part we replace stays covered for the rest of your warranty period.
What the warranty covers
The warranty covers these parts:
- Engine assembly or electric motor
- Electronic speed controller
- Clutch and transmission
- Axles
- Starter-generator
- Frame and suspension components
- Steering gear and control cables
- 12-volt battery
If a covered part fails from a defect in workmanship or material during your 90 days, we repair or replace it.
What the warranty does not cover
The warranty does not cover body parts, seats, mats, bumpers, bag carriers, trim, tires, or non-new accessories
It does not cover normal wear or routine maintenance items. That includes oil, air filters, brake shoes, spark plugs, starters, and drive belts.
It does not cover failures caused by neglect, abuse, skipped maintenance, accident, non-original parts, or any repair or modification made by anyone other than a Cunningham technician. It does not cover incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use.

You can extend your warranty at the time of purchase:

How to use your warranty
If a covered part fails, contact us within 10 days of noticing the problem. Then bring the cart to our Louisville or Calvert City location so we can inspect and repair it.
Getting the cart to and from us is your responsibility. We offer pickup and delivery at our current rates, and field service may be available for a trip charge, based on scheduling in your area.
The details
This warranty is non-transferable. It applies only to the original purchaser. It is the complete warranty on your Certified Pre-Owned cart. It replaces any other promise, spoken or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. Some states do not allow these limits, so you may have other rights that vary by state.
What is a certified pre-owned golf cart?
A certified pre-owned golf cart is a used cart that a dealer has inspected, reconditioned, and backed with a warranty. At Cunningham, our own technicians check every certified cart top to bottom before it goes on the lot. Unlike a private-seller cart, a certified cart comes with support you can call on.
Is it safe to buy a used golf cart on Facebook Marketplace?
Buying used on Facebook Marketplace is risky. Private carts come with no inspection, no warranty, and no service support. You don’t know the battery health or repair history. If it breaks, there’s no one to call. A certified cart from a dealer removes that guesswork.
Does a certified pre-owned golf cart come with a warranty?
Yes. Every Cunningham Certified cart comes with a 90-day limited warranty. It covers major parts like the motor, controller, transmission, axles, frame, suspension, steering, and the 12-volt battery. If a covered part fails from a defect during your 90 days, we repair or replace it. A private-seller cart offers no warranty at all.
What does the Cunningham Certified warranty cover?
It covers major mechanical parts. That includes the engine or electric motor, the speed controller, the clutch, transmission, axles, starter-generator, frame, suspension components, steering gear, control cables, and the 12-volt battery. If one of these fails from a defect during your 90-day period, we repair or replace it, at no charge for the covered part.
What does the warranty not cover?
It does not cover wear and maintenance items. That means tires, brakes, seats, upholstery, trim, or non-new accessories. It also excludes routine items like belts, spark plugs, oil, and filters. Damage from accident, abuse, or skipped maintenance is not covered. On electric carts, the main battery pack follows the manufacturer’s warranty, not this one.
Can I get more than 90 days of coverage?
Yes. You can extend your coverage when you buy. Add 180 days of coverage, or extend to a full year. Just ask your salesperson to add extended coverage to your invoice at the time of purchase.
How do I use the warranty if something goes wrong?
Contact us within 10 days of noticing the problem. Then bring the cart to our Louisville or Calvert City location so we can inspect and repair it. Getting the cart to and from us is your responsibility, though we offer pickup and delivery for a fee. The warranty covers the original buyer only and does not transfer.
